Here is the tour plan for our 7 Days tour from Casablanca to Sahara desert.
Today we explore the main sights of Casablanca and then we drive to Rabat, capital. We explore main attractions and monuments, then he head to Meknes and Fes where we stay overnight in local hotel.
After breakfast, we continue our private Morocco Sahara Desert tour exploring the oldest city in Morocco. We enjoy walking in its alleys and small streets, we will visit Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter and other cultural and historical sites including the Al Qaraouine University, the Tanneries, and Moulay Idriss mausoleum.
Then we will drive to Ifrane, a famous ski resort, called Switzerland of Morocco. Then we continue to Azrou stopping at cedar forest to see the Barbarian Apes. We continue towards Midelt in Atlas mountains. our private Morocco Desert tour will continue from Midelt to the Ziz valleym with a stop in Erfoud, Rissani and finally we reach Merzouga. We will ride camels to desert camp guided by experienced camel guide in the middle of Erg Chebbi.
The desert camel trek takes about 90 minutes to reach the camp. Then we enjoy the sunset over the dunes and our dinner will be served near the campfire. We will spend this night in desert tents in the desert.
Today we’ll start exploring the desert area visiting the Gnawa village of Khamlia, where we will learn more about the Gnawa music. Afterwards, may meet Nomad families still living under Berber tents in Sahara desert. Then we will visit Rissani, to explore its local souk and later we will drive back to the village of Merzouga. From here we ride camels about 90 minutes to arrive to the desert camp where we will spend this night in the sand dunes. We will enjoy the desert sunset and the dinner will be served at the camp.
Today we watch the sunrise in the Sahara desert and then we ride camels back to the village. After breakfast in the riad, you’ll leave for Rissani , Tinghir, and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the heart of the gorge we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”.
Overnight accommodation will be in a fancy hotel overlooking the Dades valley.
After breakfast in the hotel, you will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazat. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip in both the valley rose roses and cinema city of Ouarzazate passing by Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains , it used to be one of his stops during his long travel from the Sahara to Marrakech., now one of the UNESCO heritage site.
after that we will shift the way to cross the high atlas mountains full of panoramic view and attractive Berber villages all along the way till Marrakech.
Today we will visit important places in Marrakesh: its architecture, the ancient Medina, the grand historical monuments (tombs, mosques, kasbahs). We can’t leave Marrakesh without experiencing the Jamaa El Fna Plaza. Marrakesh is the capital of tourism in Morocco. We stay here in local hotel.
