If you have been craving to visit the North of Morocco as well as its West and East passing by its imperial cities, look no further. We have broken down for you an in-depth guide for several Moroccan cities starting from Tangier to Fes and Rabat-Casablanca, each one is as attractive and interesting as the other.
Here you find the tour plan of the 5-day Morocco Tour from Tangier that ends by being back to Tangier.
On the first day of the 5-Day Morocco tour from Tangier, you will meet your driver/guide depending on where you are: Airport/ Port / Hotel / Riad. They will drive you through the Rif mountains and Tetouan city so that you can enjoy the views of the beautiful mountains. Our destination is Chefchaouan or rather the Blue City as locals call it.
The city is one of the stunning villages at the feet of the Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen medina has a Spanish-style square surrounded by many funky arts and crafts stores, rooftop restaurants, and cafes, where you will spend your night in a nice place to enjoy the breeze and the beauty of nature. The night will be spent in a hotel in the city.
After breakfast, we will leave Chefchaouen to travel to Fes. On our route, we will stop to visit the remaining Roman Ruins of Volubilis. The ruins remained substantially intact until an earthquake devastated them in the mid-18th century.
After that, you will travel on to Meknes, one of the four Imperial cities, where you will visit the famous El Hedim Square, the Mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Ismail, and the Old Medina before arriving in Fes.
For the night, you will be staying in a hotel in Fes where you will also be having dinner.
The third day of our 5-Day Morocco Tour from Tangier will be devoted to visiting Fes. It is the oldest of the imperial cities, home to the world’s first university dating from the 9th century. Also, it is one of the most complete medieval cities in existence. Surrounded by huge defensive walls, it seems suspended in a time warp, somewhere between the middle Ages and the modern.
Here, you will meet our local guide in medieval Medina. You will be visiting the famous tanneries and the Karaouine mosque. After lunch, in a typical Moroccan restaurant in Medina, you will see the Marinid tombs and experience a wonderful panoramic view of the city.
You will spend the night at a hotel or Riad in the old Medina of Fes, where you will also have dinner.
The next morning, our destination is Casablanca via Rabat. We will stop to visit the royal palace gardens, Kasbah Chella, and Hassan Tour. After lunch, we take a one-hour drive to Casablanca, where we will visit the mosque Hassan II and the old Medina and take a walk in the seaside of Ain Diab.
After dinner in Medina, you will stay the night in a hotel in Casablanca.
To wrap up our Morocco Tour from Tangier, our first stop is Assilah. It is an ancient city dating back to the era of Al-Andalus. The city is gorgeous as it has mural paintings all over it. Old residences have been converted into charming stores that you’ll enjoy visiting as you explore the streets and discover the town’s attractions.
You will have lunch in a restaurant nearby. In Assilah, whenever you lift your attention upwards, you will be welcomed by the infinite blue of the sky and sea.
Afterward, we will head to Tangier where you will get to see many sightseeing sites, such as the whitewashed hillside medina that is home to the Dar el Makhzen, a palace of the sultans that is now a museum of Moroccan artifacts. The Hercules Caves, the Kasbah Museum, and, The American Legation Museum are all sights of our Tangier tour.
